چکیده

The dissolution of invaded gas in the drilling fluid during results an increase invasion concealment. This is great significance for development acid reservoirs to determine solubility change and multiphase flow law annulus after by natural with high CO 2 content. In this study, control equations gas–liquid are established considering influence solubility. For prediction solubility, interaction parameters CH 4 water Peng–Robinson equation state optimised establish a model. content brine solution measured through phase-equilibrium experiments. indicate that newly model can accurately predict water, error within 5%. Moreover, mixed 15%. analysis example engineering applications reveals leads slow mud-pit increment, concealment strengthens as distance between gas-migration front wellhead increases. Gas has significant impact on monitoring low permeability reservoirs.

Study on Wellbore Stability of Shallow Sediments in Deepwater Drilling

Method: In this paper, the shallow formation around the borehole is divided into plastic zone and elastic zone considering it under nonuniform in-situ stress. The collapse pressure formula of shallow formation is derived by taking the shrinkage rate of the borehole as the instability criterion. The fracturing pressure calculation model of shallow sediment under non-uniform in-situ stress is der...

Optimization of Operation Parameters for Helical Flow Cleanout with Supercritical CO2 in Horizontal Wells Using Back-Propagation Artificial Neural Network

Sand production and blockage are common during the drilling and production of horizontal oil and gas wells as a result of formation breakdown. The use of high-pressure rotating jets and annular helical flow is an effective way to enhance horizontal wellbore cleanout. In this paper, we propose the idea of using supercritical CO2 (SC-CO2) as washing fluid in water-sensitive formation. SC-CO2 is m...

Wellbore Stability in Oil and Gas Drilling with Chemical-Mechanical Coupling

Wellbore instability in oil and gas drilling is resulted from both mechanical and chemical factors. Hydration is produced in shale formation owing to the influence of the chemical property of drilling fluid. A new experimental method to measure diffusion coefficient of shale hydration is given, and the calculation method of experimental results is introduced. The diffusion coefficient of shale ...

Prediction of Wellbore Temperatures During the Scientific Ultra-Deep Drilling Process

In order to carry out a series of key basic researches, a scientific ultra-deep drilling plan is being undertaken in China. Wellbore temperature is one of the key factors during the drilling process. In this paper, we established a twodimensional transient numerical model to predict the ultra-deep wellbore temperature distributions during circulation and shut-in stages. The simulation results i...
